Messages, images and other information may be posted by persons over whom My Fishing Pals exercises no control. My Fishing Pals does not provide that it screens the information or materials on My Fishing Pals. Accordingly, My Fishing Pals is not responsible for and does not assume responsibility for the contents of any posts, links, photos, images, articles, stories, files or any other information or materials posted in the forums or other portions of this website. My Fishing Pals does not and cannot provide that any of these and all materials on My Fishing Pals is correct, complete, authorized or appropriate for some people. Listings of companies, images, services, products, organizations, information or causes on My Fishing Pals does not and can not in any way imply endorsement. VIOLATIONS OF ACCEPTABLE USE

The following constitute violations of acceptable use:

a. Illegal use. Using the My Fishing Pals web site to transmit any material (by email, uploading, posting, or otherwise) that, intentionally or unintentionally, violates any applicable local, state, national or international law, or any rules or regulations promulgated there under.

b. Threats. Using the Services to transmit any material (by email, uploading, posting, or otherwise) that threatens or encourages bodily harm or destruction of property.

c. Harassment. Using the My Fishing Pals web site to transmit any material (by email, uploading, posting, or otherwise) that harasses another. This is to include unwarranted and unsolicited e-mail from others unless directly associated with My Fishing Pals efforts.

d. Language. Using the My Fishing Pals web site to transmit any material (by email, uploading, posting, or otherwise) that uses inappropriate language. This is to include misleading, deceptive, false, defamatory or libelous language and insulting, threatening or provocative language or language that is hateful towards a certain group of people or to incite hatred on the basis of race, religion, gender, nationality or sexuality or other personal characteristic or the contribution of material to the website that includes indecent, obscene, pornographic or otherwise inappropriate language, information or other content.

e. Fraudulent activity. Using the My Fishing Pals web site to make fraudulent offers to sell or buy products, items, or services or to advance any type of financial scam or falsely solicit information from others participating in the My Fishing Pals Discussion Forum.

f. Copyright or trademark infringement. Using the My Fishing Pals web site to transmit any material (by email, uploading, posting, hotlinking or otherwise) that infringes any copyright, trademark, patent, trade secret, or other proprietary rights of any third party, including, but not limited to, the unauthorized copying of copyrighted material, the digitization and distribution of photographs from magazines, books, or other copyrighted sources, and the unauthorized transmittal of copyrighted software.

g. Collection of personal data. Using the My Fishing Pals web site to collect, or attempt to collect, personal information about third parties without their knowledge or consent.



Submitted Material

Images: All individuals, members or businesses who transmit any material including image or graphic material (by email, uploading, posting, hotlinking or otherwise) to My Fishing Pals grant My fishing Pals the right to use said images or graphics in any manner or form related to the advertising, displaying or promoting of My Fishing Pals.

Written Material: All individuals, members or businesses who transmit any written material (by email, uploading, posting, hotlinking or otherwise) to My Fishing Pals grant My fishing Pals the right to use said wiritten material in any manner or form related to the advertising, displaying or promoting of My Fishing Pals. All material submitted must be your own and is owned by you. Reprints of existing articles and/or the work or rework of others is not acceptable without written authorisation from the original copyright holder. Any person submitting material to My Fishing Pals indemnifies My Fishing Pals against any legal action that may be taken as a result of the publication of the material either in whole or in part. My Fishing Pals shall not be held accountable for any breach of copyright, as submitted material is accepted in good faith that no prior claim is held against the published work.

Author Terms of Service for Written Material
You agree that you are the original author of each article or story that you submit. If you have hired a ghostwriter, then you have already agreed that you have exclusive rights to each article or story you submit.

There are no guarantees that your article or story will be accepted for publication in My Fishing Pals. It is at the sole discretion of My Fishing Pals whether or not to include your article or story. If published, we reserve the right to remove any article at any time.

By submitting your articles to My Fishing Pals, you agree to allow us to:
  • Publish your fishing article on My Fishing Pals.
  • Publish your fishing article in News Feeds.
  • Publish your fishing article to other Websites in promoting My Fishing Pals.
  • You agree that My Fishing Pals is a free service for authors and publishers. You will not be paid for submitting your article or story to our site and you will not be paid if and when your articles or stories are published. You will receive all credit for your work and your name and other pertinent information will be displayed.

    We reserve the right to include advertising on pages with your articles.


    FORUM RULES
  • For Profit Individuals or Businesses. All individuals, members or businesses, or members representing businesses that produce any products, goods or services to be sold for profit or who resell products, goods or services for profit must post any topics related to those products, goods or services in the Products Forum. Any Posts deemed by the Moderators to not abide by these rules will be moved to the Products Forum. Multiple infractions of this rule may result in posts or topics being removed or users banned or a combination both.
  • For Profit Individuals or Businesses. All individuals, members or businesses, or members representing businesses that produce any products, goods or services to be sold for profit or who resell products, goods or services for profit are allowed one (1) post per week in the Products Forum. Any Posts deemed by the Moderators to not abide by these rules will be removed. Multiple infractions of this rule may result in posts or topics being removed or users banned or a combination both.
  • Forum Etiquette. All individuals, members or businesses, or members representing businesses that produce any products, goods or services to be sold for profit or who resell products, goods or services for profit may open a new topic, thread or subject providing that information or subject matter of that topic, thread or subject has not been previously posted. Multiple posting of redundant, related or similar content is not allowed. Also, continually "bumping", or adding no new content to a topic, thread or subject for the purpose of displaying the topic, thread or subject at the top of the forums is not allowed. Multiple infractions of this rule may result in posts or topics being removed or users banned or a combination both.


  • Registration

    Members are asked to provide certain personal information when they sign up for the My Fishing Pals Discussion Forum including name and email address. The personal information collected during the registration process is used to manage each user's account and may be updated by the user at anytime. This information is not shared with third parties. Completion of the registration process is required before anyone is permitted to post information to the My Fishing Pals Discussion Forum.

    Responses to Email Inquiries
    When Visitors or Members send email inquiries to My Fishing Pals, the return email address is used to answer the email inquiry we receive. My Fishing Pals does not use the return email address for any other purpose and does not share the return email address with any third party.

    "Cookies" and How My Fishing Pals Uses Them
    A "cookie" is a small data file that can be placed on your hard drive when you visit certain Web sites. My Fishing Pals Discussion Forum will use cookies to track the number of posts in the forum and will not be persistent or retain personally identifiable information. These cookies do not enable third parties to access any of your registration information and are only valid for each session conducted with the My Fishing Pals Discussion Forum.

    My Fishing Pals Privacy and Security Notice

    1. Except where otherwise noted, information presented on the My Fishing Pals site is considered public information and may be distributed or copied. Use of appropriate byline/photo/image credits is requested.

    2. For site management and research purposes, My Fishing Pals uses software programs to collect data that is used for such purposes as assessing what information is of most and least interest to visitors, determining technical design specifications, and identifying system performance or problem areas.

    3. For site security purposes and to ensure that this service remains available to all users, My Fishing Pals employs software programs to monitor network traffic to identify unauthorized attempts to upload or change information, or otherwise cause damage.

    4. Except for those purposes stated in number 3. above and authorized law enforcement investigations, no other attempts are made to identify individual users or their usage habits. Raw data logs are used for no other purposes and are scheduled for regular destruction every three months.

    5. Unauthorized attempts to upload information or change information on this service are strictly prohibited and may be punishable under the Computer Fraud and Abuse Act of 1986 and the National Information Infrastructure Protection Act of 1993.
