Thanks Mallard and again Wow, who knew this thread would just keep continuing on and on? I like to sit back and read the show! I already put my 2 cents in long ago.

LOL.... Bobber Down and I went out on Friday and walked a couple of trails. On our way to the trails we almost hit one with the car. Didnt see any on the trail but on our way out we saw 2 on the gravel road. BD followed them into the woods but could not get a shot off. It was great fun though!

After much research through history, I have found the point in time when all this stuff started.

Right after the creation of the movie Bambi smile smiley

SU, I have read a few of your posts. You seem pretty self righteous for someone who kills thousands of Vegetables to sustain yourself. Vegetables are alive to, yet you kill them chop them up mutilate them in your food processor. Sure, they can't scream in protest, so that makes it ok. At least when I go hunting, my game has a pretty darn good chance that they will get away. Your prey, is buried in the ground or affixed to a plant, how unsportsmanlike, they don't stand a chance. I hope you can sleep at night.

Free the veggies

I am willing to admit that I am closed minded. From the tone of surfs up's messages I wonder if he is willing to admit the same of himself?
Surfs Up- I hope you become a complete vegetarian. And I hope you find the answer to your question on post 52. good luck.

As of now I don't see myself not hunting.

Thanks,
Logan

I posted this on the painted roadkill thread but its fitting here also answers your questions at the same time

SURFSUP
I have read many of your posts now and mostly you dont bash people but that last comment about slob hunters was too far to condem a whole by a few is just stupid yes there are some dumb )(*&*(& out there but some are vegans also just because a dumb&^%#^%# painted a roadkill how does that make you think its a hunter makes no sence to me sounds like a lazy &$%&^ worker to me maybe a vegan thats afraid to even look at it much less move it. just because you hunted to kill does not mean everybody does many people hunt and enjoy it even without killing my son has been hunting with me for years now and he kills very rarely he simply loves being out there and seeing the wildlife we hunt for food to sustain my low income my family of 5 eats 5 to 6 deer a year which saves a lot compared to buying store bought meats not to mention Deer is much healthier than any from a store. I spend very little on ammo 1 bullit = 1 Deer my gun was bought 30 years ago for $150.00 and some of the best memories with my dad and my kids are sitting out in the woods hunting I live in Ky where all my money from liscense and tags goes right back into wildlife 30 years ago we had almost no deer in Ky because of us hunters there is now a huge population of healthy deer there havent been Elk in Ky for even longer and now there is a sustainable herd turkeys were nonexistent now there are almost too many (never too many)all because of hunters so you would never be able to see many of these creatures if not for hunters kantukee the Indian word for happy hunting ground says it all and I wont even go into the bible where it says in Genesis 8.10 "Everything that lives and moves will be food for you. Just as I gave you the green plants,I now give you everything"
and dont forget the problem with overpopulation if most game animals are not controled they will get sick and or diseased maybe starve from lack of foodthen all you will see is a bunch of animals dieing very cruel deaths, yes some die cruel deaths from hunters but all the hunters I know of are very ethical and well practiced in firearms and archery to prevent that from happening as best we can

see ya in the woods or on the water

Stalker,

You might reread the context of my statement.

I said, "Probably one of the thousands of "slob hunters" that will drive around in their truck with a 6 pack and loaded rifle looking to shoot something from the road".

You said, "that last comment about slob hunters was too far to condem a whole by a few is just stupid".

Well Stalker......if you aren't one of the thousands of "slob hunters" driving around in a truck with a 6 pack and a loaded rifle looking to shoot something from the road then why did you take offense? If on the other hand you are driving around downing a cold one looking to shoot something from the road then that is exactly what I was defining as a "slob hunter".

If it does not apply to you then take no offense....if it does apply to you.....well.....if the shoe fits.

Stalker you further said, "yes there are some dumb )(*&*(& out there". Well I can't argue with wisdom like that.

Stalker...grow a garden. Raise some poultry and eat the eggs... you will be much healthier and in no danger of being confused with the thousands of "slob hunters" hanging out down at the local bar singing slurred versions of "The Thirty Point Buck"....or making stupid statements like, "If it's brown it's down" after you have had a few cold ones.

Get The Board,
