Okay... I spent yesterday cleaning the inside of the boat. Today I did the outside, strung new line and set up for some crappies. Batteries have been on the tender all winter. I get to spend the next two weekends crappie fishing and the following weekend is the opener. All of this is due to the fact that I have my honey do list done. Woodtic and me next weekend... the following I am taking my boss out (I'll do just about anything to go fishing), then the opener with my brothers and a bunch of friends.

Yeah, I got it bad crazy smiley

Detailed the boat? Heck I just found a sandwich in the boat from last fall. Not too bad the bread was a bit stale but not bad.
I just take the boat to a self serv car wash the kind with the high pressure wand.
I take a hand full of quarters and have at it.
I even found a pack of cigars so it was a very good day.

I know it's a bit early (maybe) to be bumping this thread, but seeing as how the snow is pretty much gone in my yard and it's light out at 6AM when I get to work, I am starting to get that 'ol itch, again. Started pulling out some of the tackle, looking at the boat and knowing I gotta do an oil change along with the lower unit. I put away a few hundred bucks over the winter to stock up an the favorite hooks, lures, and everything else that I lost last year. Started wearing the 'ol hat that Pier gave me. I actually got two, now... one from Scum too. Both have hit that "Lucky Hat" status 'cause I caught so many fish with them on. (The Fishing Hat)

Anywayz... it's startin' folks. grin smiley

Yeah I'm getting it to. I think I'll try to get down to the river to cast the long rod for a little while this week, that should help a little.

I knew I read that opening page before! ...And in your dream, didn't you mean brothers grin? LOL

Even a Florida boy can get that Mn. opener itch! It's not just the fishing...but the competition...the comradery.

Looking forward to another trip...another opener...another chance to get brothers together and make more lasting memories.

I got my first powered boat this Fall so I had about 2 whole hours on it last year. Just yesterday I was out back looking under the tarp she's covered with. Then I had to go inside and make sure there were no green jigs mixed in with black in my jig box. It helped a little. Next will be sorting trailers out from all the other bags of plastics.

Unfortunatly I'm going to miss opener this year frown smiley I'm heading to TN for my wifes uncles 60th birthday instead. I hope the fish are still biting on Memorial Day because that is the soonest I'm going to make it up there.
