We are supposed to be on the northern edge of precip. So if we get any it should be white!

Good luck to all, I will need some for myself this year as well. And I will have my wifey in tow too! We have a lot of peeps in camp this year! Should be fun!

Well my season ended yesterday. I hunted until about 3:30 and then spent the rest of the afternoon and evening pulling gear out of the woods.

Only saw one deer in the field this trip and it was a fork buck that got a very pass again.

Overall I had a good season. Made 4 trips and hunted 8 total days. Never went 2 days in a row without seeing deer. Saw bucks, does, grouse, coyotes, skunks, squirrels, woodpeckers, weasels, and countless birds. Saw numerous deer within 30 yards but just couldn't seal the deal on any of them.

I've got a plan ready to execute for next season which involves placing one more stand and moving a stand 10 yards. Its funny how the difference of 10 yards can make the difference. I've got some dandy bucks on cam that have me excited for next season. In addition to the buck I posted previously two new bucks have shown up. A 10 pointer that looks fairly young still and an older buck that has at least 12 points but I can't fully count one racks in any photo I have. The 12+ made some appearances in the middle of the day right in the middle of my biggest shooting lane so that has me driven to be in the stand as many days as possible next season.

Even if I never see these bucks again at least I know there are some quality genetics being shared and it gives me hope for some of the young bucks that some of them will be the big boy in a few years. Makes passing on them easier when I tell myself that.

Hope a few of you guys are able to seal the deal and fill the freezer. I guess I'll be having to go to the grocery store this year.

We have 3 deer for our party so far. My Processing business went viral and I am now at 45 cut/ready to cut since opener. I have been cutter 8am to 10pm every day. I am done.... I did have the chance to meet up with Domino and process a deer his son shot. We toasted a shot of crown to the world! Thanks for leaving it Dave!
I will post up some of the big bucks I processed.

Greetings, guys! Going to visit MN in a week, now gathering equipment for a hunt. Not sure if this binoculars will fit in it. They are too heavy and huge. However, a set of options is pretty wide.
What do you think, should I take it or not? By the way, sorry for offtopic.

Mid to northern MN they are not needed. They are nice but not a necessity like going out west.

Good luck and give us a report

Good luck with the muzzy. I'm still seeing a lot of deer and getting them on cam pretty consistently. Problem is they're all in my front yard in the burbs. There is a very well worn path through the front yards on the south side of the street where the deer walk each day. They stay about 5-10 feet off the road and turn the yards into their own little highway.
