I wouldn't listen to the media on this topic if I were you. They haven't been even close to being accurate with any of their reports. The media seems to be desperate for drama so they are manufacturing it by publishing all of these unsubstantiated rumors.
Its gotten to the point you can't believe anything that is being said or printed about this story.

Holy moly rocky, Any ideas on whats true and whats not.I guess I believe the surgery bit but the next day supposedly childress gives him an ultimatum.  I'm seriously starting to wonder if any of it is true any more.If he had surgery he did it to play football that means if he can play he'll be here.Good enough for me."Get er done"

I've heard he wants to wait to see how his arm comes around after the surgery. But then I hear the Vikes give him a firm deadline of this week.
How does that work? He just had the surgery a week or two ago and now he has to know if his arm will hold up? Not sure how he could answer the accurately right now.
Just so sick of the entire thing. I try to ignore it but its on every website, radio and tv station. Its Favreapalooza out there and still no one knows anything.

I think your guess is as good as ESPN's right now. Everything ESPN has reported has been 100% wrong thus far.
How can a sports news station be so wrong about the entire issue? It seems like they want there to be continuing developments so they have something new to boost the ratings but when there isn't anything new happening they fabricate something to make it look good. It sounds like they made up the entire Childress deadline story and now they are saying the Vikes have suspended talks with Favre. Maybe someone can fill me in but I'm pretty sure there haven't really been any talks yet. Its always been a wait and see game to see how his arm recovers. Thats all there is going on right now. No talks just waiting to see if his arm heals. So there really isn't anything to suspend.
ESPN and some select memebers of its staff are starting to lose a lot of their credibility on this one.
