I've had the permanent out on Bald Eagle since the first of the year and don't have much to show for it at all. So far only one walleye has been pulled right around 16", other then that just a few crappies.

iceintheblood I would be interested in that map of yours as well. My email is promuskieangler@hotmail.com

Anyone else having much luck? Wouldn't mind meeting up with some other people out there.

I have been fishing Bald Eagle for the last two weeks during the day and at night caught alot of crappies all 8 inches with a couple 9s hard to come by. caught a couple of walleyes two very small and one 17 inches. My bonus was to see 40 plus inch muskie under my hole very cool. Bottom line there are plenty of crappies look on flats in 12 to 15fow. kids would have a blast, I know every time I put down my camera is see big schools of crappies. keep fishin wink smiley

As of right now i'm on the north end of the island. The house is sitting in about 24 ft' and then i've got some shallows infront of me where weve been putting tip-ups. Hope to get out there after work a few more times this week. But will be out there for sure friday night into saturday.

Good luck to all!

I can hop on just about any tracks and get where i need to be in 2 wheel drive. The only time i had to put it into 4 wheel drive was to go through a decent drift infront of my shack. Those are the only thing you really have to look out for.

I was out there last night fishing near Cigar Island and caught my limit of crappies within 1hr 30min. There is a road that is plowed on Bald Eagle but the sides of the road is pretty thick with snow. Even with my 2 Wheel drive truck I was able to make it to my destination. Didn't see a whole lot of people like before but that's okay. It's nice when the lake is quite. Good luck and hopefully this helps anyone.
