Not from braham, but he's hunting not far from there. But did you notice the time. Middle of the day, 100 degree heat index, and a pretty open woods. He owns the world and knows it. He's not afraid of nothing, and could care less. I hope he makes a mistake and my buddy gets his 1st bear!

BTW...did you notice his front pads? Oh my! This is a world class bear IMO. His head has all the classic signs of scoring big too!

Well, I'm still baiting, not sure why, because no bears are coming. I have raccoons and fishers and deer. It's really kind a depressing. I look forward to this all year long....UGG! I knew it would be tough...but really? OK...done whining. I will keep at it for a bit...who knows, maybe things will change.

My buddy has not seen his trophy of a lifetime yet...he too is not ready to throw in the towel just yet.

For some reason I'm getting coverage out here so I will update from the tree stand. It would seem that the bears are starting to move again. My bait has been hit pretty good the last few days and I've got some good photos too. So I'm sitting for the evening hunt. Saw some reports from up north that were encouraging as well. Wish me luck.

No bear visits last night. I stuck it out to the last minute too. I had a doe get all bent over me late, so I guess I wasn't that surprised. After bear season is done, I just might pay her a visit if you know what I mean. Here's a couple pic's of why I'm still hunting. Not huge, but worthy!

To be honest, I have never hunted bears this late into a season before. Mostly because bait is pretty expensive and gas is not free either. But this year someone gave me a lot of bear bait for free, and I'm hunting close to home. So why not keep it going?

And now I have a pretty active bait. A bear that looks pretty good is coming in every night. The problem though, he's coming very late. Usually after legal hours end. But the last couple days it's been just a little earlier, but that's all I need. So I think I will climb into my stand Monday evening and give it whirl again. I will post a few more pics in the morning. My taxidermist has always said that October bears are the best. Their winter coats are pretty much fully developed and make beautiful rugs. I hope to find that out personally.

Cali sounds nice...but I think it's the last place I would want to be during a MN fall. Walleyes committing suicide, bears, deer, grouse and ducks oh my!

Good luck, and a couple of pic's....not sure how big, but this year has been so tough, I don't think I will be all that choosy if I actually get a chance.

This time change could kill a person! Been sitting here since 4am staring at the wall!

I would take that one! Especially late season!
You would think with the cooler temps he would be more active.

So I hunted last night....pic's on Sunday evening showed no bears till 8ish, and again no bears last night.....rrrrrr......and they ate 25lb of German chocolate frosting in 1 night! At least I found some thing they really like....rrrrrr!! Cali is starting to sound better....
