someone tell PETA.....

1. Without hunting and fishing, their state & national parks won't receive any money for upkeep etc from the millions of dollars taken in for licenses. The state parks are already suffering from lack of Federal money....and without hunting and fishing, your DNR employees will be jumping in the unemployment line.

2. When I lived out in the "country" 2 miles outa town all summer I took a .22 and legally eliminated squirrels and chipmunks that were destroying the insulation etc in our attic, and destroying the yard with 100's of holes that were getting dangerous to walk around. Only shot the nuisance squirrels.. NEVER would I go out in the woods after those that didn't cause us any problems.

3. Vegetables just don't taste that good without meat.

4. I've lost 10 lbs in just the last 2 years Fishing.

5. I drink MILK.. 2 gallons a week!

6. I'm eating a chicken and turkey sandwich as I type this.

7. Steak Escape is my favorite Fast Food restaurant smile smiley

(ok.. I'm done for now......)

Even better smile smiley I've been trying to find an email address of someone at PETA so I can post that so people can send their comments to a person "in charge."

HERE is where you contact PETA and tell then what you think about the whole PETA thing.

Here is Pawlentys responce.

Pawlenty throws back PETA request

BRIEFING: MINNESOTA

Minnesota anglers, fear not.

Gov. Tim Pawlenty formally has rejected a request from the People for the Ethical Treatment of Animals that he declare walleye pike, Minnesota's state fish, off limits to fishing.

"PETA should stay out of Minnesota's proud fishing lifestyle," Pawlenty said Tuesday in a two-paragraph news release issued by his staff. "Because of their letter, I'm going out for a walleye dinner tonight."

He was responding to a July 29 letter from Karin Robertson, manager of the "Fish Empathy Project" for the Norfolk, Va.-based PETA. In the letter, she argued that fish feel pain, just as people do, and she urged him to outlaw angling.

In an interview, Robertson said she legally changed her name to GoVeg.com, the address for one of PETA's Web sites, two years ago.

She urged Minnesotans to visit fishinghurts.com, another PETA site, for links to research papers describing fish sensitivity to pain.

I still don't like Pawlenty... though.. that's one of the few things he's gotten right since being elected.

I'll be willing to bet that Peta spends a majority of their budget on "sending" their message and very little money on the environment.

A good percentage of their budget comes from celebrities "donating" a buncha money to be in the limelight. I don't wanna know how much politicians money they get on the side for lobbying and crap like that.

Now just hold on a good golly north woods minute here! Vegetables are VERY IMPORTANT !!! I mean after all, without vegetable oil, peanut oil, olive oil ,etc., etc., then what in the world would we fry our fish in ? I mean everything has a purpose. PETA has the purpose of demonstrating what happens to folks who are wildlife and fish species illiterate but long on arrogance, pride, and full of themselves. I have put a hiney load full of money into helping establish good fish and game populations---the PETA members I personally know do not put anything (a few put a small pittance to sooth their hypocritical conscience--if it can honestly be called a conscience) to their so called beliefs. It amazes me the absolute lunacy of their beliefs and the effect they would have on fish/wildlife populations. I don't know if any of you remember your college biology and natural science courses but these guys get a failing grade on every conceptual understanding of fish and wildlife expansion and management. I bet they also step on the cock roaches in their houses and kill grasshoppers on the grills of their cars as they drive around--the raving hypocrites. Well that's enough brain cells spent contemplating the brain dead know as PETA. I'm off to catch, clean, and eat a lake trout just to tick some PETA person off.

Good Fishing (and occasional fish and game eating) What Do Ya Think,

Here's what the People for the Ethical Treatment of Animals wanted you to see this week: two Playboy Playmates -- clad only in lettuce -- handing out vegetarian hot dogs on Capitol Hill Wednesday as cameras clicked away.

Here's what PETA didn't want you to see: two PETA employees attending a court hearing Tuesday in North Carolina on charges they killed and dumped 31 cats and dogs in a shopping center's trash bins. While the court case is pending, the controversy swirling around PETA and associated animal rights extremists, is again Page One news.

continued...

A good read...
