Kirk and Joe arrived sunday night and were out fishing yeaterday morning. They had a little action and ended up with two walleyes under 17. They also caught 3 over and missed a couple. kirk made a beer run and when he came back a small crack just off shore turned into a 2 foot high ice heave. Even though the water is only 2 feet deep there, it kinda freaked him out seeing all that water. He called Joe to tell him and that he was safe but Joe was wondering why he was safe when Kirk was on shore and he was still on the lake.
Kirk had to take a long walk around the ice heave to get to joe. By then mother nature showed her ugly side and the wind picking up to gail forces. Being in a portable was not a option so they packed it in. Jeff from agassiz was generous enough to let them fish his hard house last night but it was kinda slow so they called it a evning and went and had a nice dinner at westwind. They were going to fish in front of my place this morning and then head home around noon

I think the most hits is 30,622 for the general forum guidelines page, though I would have to search the database to find out. Those pages are always at the top of the individula forums.

Just like that and the resorts have started making the roads. All three resorts now have roads out from 4 to 6 miles. I took californai out yesterday and will be taking utah out later today. The other houses will be going out next week after the predicted snows.
The fishing has been pretty good with some days better then others. I have now heard of 6 crappies caught so thats a nice sign. The weekends are slowly filling up although the first weekend of Jan.is wide open.. confused smiley

I sure hope the Crappies show up earlier this year than last. The walleyes will ofcourse keep everyone busy though to. Maybe the Perch will start to show in size and numbers.

Well well well I have been a buyt beaver. I now have all 5 of our sleepers on the lake Old minnesota, montana, florida, california and utah ready to fish this weekend. I also will be getting our 8 hole day house New York out about 3 miles tomorrow. Then I willl dig out colorado out of the woods. Not sure if I'm going to rent alaska this year I will have to decide in a week or two.
The fishing has been real good if your on the spot when they come through. There was 17 inches of ice where I put three of the house's and I drove my one ton The red baron out there this afternoon.
