Surfs Up,

It appears that your only goal in this forum is to ruffle feathers. Is there any other purpose that you post here? What good does it do to belittle someone for their choice of past time, whether it be something that you support or not? In my opinion you seem to suffer from "little man behind the computer screen" syndrome. Weak males seem to suffer from this often. It occurs when you realize that you really don't measure up as a man in the "real world", so you begin spouting off on the internet annonymously, like you have done in this post. I am willing to bet 100% that you would not say any of your comments to any of the members on the site face to face. It is sad. I do hope that you can grow up and learn to act like a responsible respectable adult, but if this forum is any indication you have a lot of growing up to do.

Good Luck at UMD. We have had to terminate three new grads from there this fall for lack of skills.

A Man NEVER picks a fight, and a man KNOWS when he has been beaten.

You sir (surfs-up)..... have done the complete opposite.

You picked a loosing battle.

You know what I realize Surfs-up? The more you ramble on through out the forum, recent pages you typed, you start to name-call.

its complete logic that if someone is loosing their ground, they start to attack the man personally. This is called (AD-Hominem)in Latin.

For example: One person says, "Hunters are great conservationist."
While the other person says, "Yeah well their slob-hunters!"
Ahhhhhaaaaa! There is your Ad-hominem! Its a personal attack that is off subject.

You sir, are doing so......

Thanks guys,

I have been reading the site quite a bit lately just hadn't registered. Looks great keep up the great work.

Backwoods -- I hope that I didn't offend you with the first post, I meant none of it directed at you. I just felt that someone was personally trying to cause trouble with every post that they made, and were reducing the chance of any useful info being exchanged. This sight, including this post has a lot of great insight, but none of it comes from...well you know who.

Well gentlemen, I belive this little fiasco is over!

Our mis-lead friend has fled from us, and longer wants to be play smile smiley

Thats what happens when you come to ruffle feathers with people when you know you will lose.

Surfs-up may be gone, he may be fighting some other loosing battle on some other forum, but he is always welcome to come back and loose once more!

BACKWOODSBOY15,

With all due respect...it appears you again miss the point entirely.
For example you state,
"You know what I realize Surfs-up? The more you ramble on through out the forum, recent pages you typed, you start to name-call.
ts complete logic that if someone is loosing their ground, they start to attack the man personally.

BACKWOODSBOY15....I believe if you would reread the posts you will find you are incorrect in your statements. I only labeled a very specific action with a very specific definition. I DID say the folks who are drinking alcohol as they drive around country roads looking for an opportunity to shoot a deer off the road are slob hunters. I stand by that. Unless you think it is an acceptable practice to drink, drive around in a drunken state, and shoot at wildlife from the road then you should label that activity as "slob hunting" as well. So tell me..do you label them as slob hunters or is that an acceptable way to behave in your opinion? If you label it as a slob hunter then you are now a hypocrite..if you think it is acceptable...well I guess the result is self evident is it not?

BACKWOODSBOY15 .. You accused me of saying things that I did not say. When you accuse someone of saying something they in fact did not say that is called (dishonest and deceitful) in English.

You further state, "Our mis-lead friend has fled from us, and longer wants to be play". (I assume you meant no longer)
A bit cocky for your own good aren't you BACKWOODSBOY15 ????

Again you state, "Thats what happens when you come to ruffle feathers with people when you know you will lose.
Surfs-up may be gone, he may be fighting some other loosing battle on some other forum, but he is always welcome to come back and loose once more!".

I assume you meant "losing" battle, not loosing. You might consider gaining a little better mastery of English before attempting to try impressing someone with ancient dead languages..but whatever. I had a family member that gave great advice that you might be able to benefit from..... if you are wise enough. He said.."Don't let your mockingbird mouth overrun your hummingbird butt". Think about it...translate it into Latin if you wish.

It appears all these personal shots taken at me over the last few weeks are for the sole purpose of avoiding the original points about the killing of animals I raised....nothing more...unfortunately if seems typical.

BACKWOODSBOY15..you further state, "A Man NEVER picks a fight, and a man KNOWS when he has been beaten".

You obviously never played on a good football team or for good coaches. This will irritate all the Minnesota folks...but go read some good quotes from Vince Lombardi. Just for a good modern example on this why don't you go watch the movie Braveheart. Then maybe the movie True Grit....maybe it will help clear it up for you. Don't they teach toughtness and grit anymore.

BDLUCAS states,"It appears that your only goal in this forum is to ruffle feathers. Is there any other purpose that you post here?".

Did you read ANY of the posts I made concerning wildlife funding, taxes, species reintroductiuon, reasoning for hunting, etc., etc. ??? You either did not read them or easily forgot. The vast majority of my posts have been fact filled, reasonable, and asking legitimate questions...you expressed only opinion and negativity toward me. If anyone actually wants to discuss ISSUES and CONCEPTS then I will be glad to discuss. However, it has been RARE thatI have found hunters that can discuss the issues and not resort to plain old name calling as their only idea and defense.

BDLUCAS also states, "What good does it do to belittle someone for their choice of past time, whether it be something that you support or not?".

Your logic is unbelievable to me here. Suppose some jerk has a pastime of beating his spouse...according to your logic I should ignore it because it is their choice. I simply can not buy that. There is a responsibility encumbent upon folks to challenge the wrong and protect the right. You attempt to prohibit my exercise of that human responsibility. In this you do us all a disservice, IMHO.

BDLUCAS also states, " I am willing to bet 100% that you would not say any of your comments to any of the members on the site face to face".

That is a bet you will 100% lose my friend.

BDLUCAS also states, "Good Luck at UMD. We have had to terminate three new grads from there this fall for lack of skills".

Well thanks for the good luck wishes. I don't doubt that you may have to terminate a few UMD grads...probably like the ones that have been skipping class to go deer hunting. Some things never change.

BACKWOODSBOY15 states, "Surfs-up may be gone, he may be fighting some other loosing battle on some other forum, but he is always welcome to come back and loose once more".

In that statement you are severely incorrect. Again, I assume you meant "losing" not "Loosing" battle...but whatever. The population as a percentage of folks who hunt is shrinking extremely quickly. When the population grows by 10% but the total number of hunters decreases by 1% you are losing ground quickly...in a very few years we will have the legislative power to overturn hunting laws. We recently got fox hunting banned in Britain..the ban of the US deer slaughter will not be far behind. We have already gotten several types of hunting banned in several states...Minnesota is on the not to distant horizon..Hunting is a "sport" who's sun is setting fast..you may say it isn't.... but that doesn't change the fact that it is.

Get The Board,

SurfsUp
