Thanks for the map...it really helped out. I caught about 2 dozen crappies in 20 FOW about 2-4 ft off the bottom. Caught them with pink and blue jigs, using either grubs or spikes. But I couldn't get a walleye...hopefully I'll catch one soon.

i haven't gone out yet but thank you for the map and the areas!
i will be up at lake of the woods this weekend but next week i plan on hitting up Bald Eagle. hope that all are catching them and good job on finding that walleye!

Thanks Mat for putting me on the right spot on bald eagle. I went out yesterday and got a 21" eye at about five last night. I wanted to post a pic but I'm not sure how to do that. We are going out again today.
Enybody notice its hard to find any place that has shinner minnows any more?

I just got back from our winter trip up to fish & visit relatives and we hit Bald Eagle Sunday morning for a couple of hrs. We didn't have a lot of time so we were just hoping for some crappie & sunfish action. Fishing was slow, we caught 3 small crappies and 1 tiny sunfish in 2.5 hrs. although we marked a lot of fish. However all was not lost as my stepson hooked a 10-pound (approx.) northern on a crappie minnow on his ice fishing rod w/4 lb. test, he played it perfectly, got a good fight out of it, got it up on the ice for a quick pic and back down the hole it went. Unfortunately the camera battery was dead  but we got a pic on his cell phone. He can't send pics but at least he has it as his background and it made the trip worthwhile.

I tried emailing Matt for that map, but his email address doesnt work. Anyone have any good spots I can try on Bald Eagle this weekend for Walleyes? Never fished it before and am new to the metro area. Thanks!
