I've never had a problem with anyone at a boat ramp but I have certainly watched many people with little trailer experience struggle to get it down the ramp straight. Husbands and wives yelling at each other that the other one doesn't know what they are doing - lol shocked smiley

A few years back, I was out on one of my favorite local lakes on a Memorial Day. Yep, my wife actually talked me into it, so we went. We got there early before the lot was full, went out did some fishing. We got plenty and decided to get out of there before things got too busy. So around 10:30ish we headed back to the access. And it was pretty busy but not crazy yet. It looked like only 3 vehicles in line and and about 15 boats in the water just floating and waiting to either load or pick up parkers. So I pulled up and sat and just watched for a moment to see what everyone was doing. It seemed as if everyone was waiting to pickup someone who went to park a trailor, get some lunch, use the bathroom, or something, I wasn't really sure, but the vehicles just kept coming with more boats and lining up, and not one was an empty trailor waiting to load a boat. So I parked my boat on the beach, left my wife to watch things, and got in my trailor and got into line about 7 back (all boats in front of me), things went pretty quick and in no time we had our boat on the trailor and were out of the way and packing up.

Then it started. A guy comes up to me looking like he's going to explode and looking at me like I'm some kind of @@@ &*%$. I'm like what's the problem? He's went off about me budding in line and if he didn't have his kids with him he would kick my ass, and that he was trying to set a good example for them! I asked him what line? He said the one out in the water! What? Really? I asked him how do you line up in the water? That just made him even more angry, I tried to apologize if I offended anyone but he wouldn't have any of it, he just kept going off, swearing in front of his kids, and making a huge scene! Finally, someone else got involved and told him there isn't a line in the water, if you tried to maintain one that way no one could get in or out of the lake on a busy day with more people showing up at the landing with their boats. The line is really at the access and you need to park your boat and get into it. He just didn't get it and started to scream at this guy too! There was 2 ramps 2 docks and a big beach, this was not rocket science, and this guy was going crazy, we just got into the car drove about a 1/2 mile and finished packing up there for our own safety!

It's a shame on how some people have their own idea on how things should go whether they are very experienced or have no experience, and then proceed to try and ruin someone elses day because of their own issues.
