WOW A hook to the melon..... shocked smiley

My dog/puppy ate a mouse bait two weeks ago and buried two of the hooks on one treble in the center of his tounge and one hook from the other treble in the side of his cheek. $200 later we were out of the vet with a brand new dog! Dog hardly whined. If that was me I would of been whining like a little school girl! smile smiley

I usually have a pair of sunglasses on, but there are sometimes i have no eye protection. One of my good friends took a hook to the eye, luckily it didn't cause any serious damage.

Depending on what type of sunglasses are used it could be a lot worse damage then no glasses at all.

Some people laugh at the clear safety goggles I wear but having a 3 oz sinker or 10 odd Gama hook come flying out of a snag or fish into my eye doesn't sound very fun.

I spent $260 on nylon/strong ray ban prescription polarized sunglasses.. Lens Crafter's at least SAYS the lenses are safe from breaking.. but we'll see if the situation ever arises. The thicker bows offer more strength than regular eyeglass bows.

This was the choice I made in frames, for durability also.. I plan to have them at least 5 years since my eye doctor told me I should be good until then with the current prescription.

Iceman's right about 'don't think'... the more you THINK about stuff the less you may pay attention to the stuff that actually matters wink smiley
