Yeah I think WebDude has the right idea. I mean fishing is free (well almost), so if you want to share info, that should be free too. You don't need an almighty moderator GOD looking over your shoulder to slap you on the wrist when you make a booboo.

Let everyone post what they want!

Hey Jiggle!

Fishing for me is far from free. No offense please, but I figured the amount of money I spent this year and divided it by the walleyes I caught and it comes to roughly about 500.00 per fish :-O

Of course, buying a new boat didn't help none. If you take out the boat, and go by individual trips, I think my brother and I figured it to be about 10.00 to 15.00 a walleye depending on the bite :-)

Well keep them coming boys/girls. Like I said before my new job is taking a ton of time away from my internet stuff plus the racks and working up to my fall hunting.

To those that asked before Webdude is right. I myself end up talking to many people with little ideas that they are trying to get off the ground. My theory is why try to work seperatly? We should work together. If you look at my site you will notice sleeper houses at URL from Russ and Judy. I personaly have never met them face to face but I know that f*M*.com is charging them a ton and I can throw up a couple pics and prices for them and I might get a few of there customers to look at my product and vis versa. See what I mean. For my $9 dollars a month to Yahoo I get some of the best advertising around.

I could fill a page with the business realationship I have had with Rick over there. What it boils down too is its his buisness and he can run it however he likes. But the truth does come out eventually. We just never seen eye to eye on how I portray my product. I also was pro-staff over there and provided a detailed fishing report EVERY weekend during the summer along with vital information to people just looking to camp and get away since I am a seasonal camper myself. I was revoked of my pro-staff duties because I have a product to sell and would not sponser at his sight? I have also kept every document ever sent between us just incase the wide eyes come whining back to me for this.

Good people treat people fair and some times in life things and people are to good to be true! Thanks for the site Webdude.

Wow Sand Burr, I never knew you were on their pro staff team. I guess it's a small world.

Now people, don't get me wrong. I like money as well as the next guy. And who knows, in the future, I may decide to offer some advertising space to some of the big corprations. But if I am going to make a buck, I am not going to make it off of certain types of businesses. I won't charge anything for resort owners, guides, bait and tackle shops, or any other small types of businesses trying to get off the ground. I mean, I don't want to nickle and dime people to death.

And I believe that by not offering paid advertising, this site gets purer posts. What I mean by this is if a guide is doing well, I want everyone to know it. So why make it difficult for him to post about where he is located, his website, phone, etc.? And how about the resort owners. If they have renters who are slamming fish, why not let them let everyone know about it.

If the posts are to be judged by someone on whether or not the poster is paying me money, think of what great limitations are being put on them about where they fish and what they caught. If there are 200 guides in Minnesota and 25 of those guides were paying me money and I only let those 25 post there info on their business, what about the other 175 guides? Seems to me you would get a pretty biased account on where to fish, don't you think????

So folks, the real experts when it comes to fishing are the people who make a living at it and the people who's livelihood depends on it. There is no way I am going to curtail that information getting to the masses. That's not fair to the fishermen, and it's not fair to the businesses. And I believe that going this route with my site is the right and fair way to present information. And I believe that my site will become successful because of this. When people find a place they can go to get ALL the expert info they need, ultimately, I can't fail.

Just my 2 cents.

WebDude

p.s. By the way Fred ***** edited by moderator told me that they are really biting on Mille Lacs. His guide service *********** edited by moderator has been catching 30"+ walleyes all month. If you would like to get into some of this action, call him at ***-***-****edited by moderator. Or better yet, email him at *****@****.com edited by moderator. There is more info on his site at www.********.com edited by moderator.

Get the word out, they are slamming them over there!! ;-)

Thanks for the kudos taxmancommeth.

Was that you who posted a couple of sites to crawl?

Sorry, the one site was not related to fishing and the other was under construction. As soon as you get the guides site up, try post for a crawl again. I would like to get it in my index.

Sp what did you have in mind as per the business links?

Sorry about the business link, I copied the wrong one of ours in, and we will be finishing the Guide Service page in the near future.

In responce to the exchange of links question...

We could exchange links, as in we are constructing a "Sponcers" page for our business page www.zoomn.com, and we could post yorus there. In exchnage maybe you have a "sponcers" page where we could put yours.
