Doug Stange (in-fisherman editor in chief) would also be a kick-butt fishing companion...

Even a BAD day of fishing is better than a good day of work; paydays excluded!

Yup ,Stange would be cool.
Linders are alright ,but they have an attitude when your in person. Same with Babe Winkleman. I can not recall a guy that is more of a prick than Babe.
When it comes to fishing with someone ,I like non overbearing gentleman types. Gary Roach is just that type. When you are that good you do not have to go around saying look at how good I am. Dave Genz is good man to learn from, last but not least SandBurr is also one of them.

I have never heard a good word spoken about Babe Winkleman. It must be very hard to make it so well known that you are a jerk.

I have never met the Linders but have heard they are good enough guys.

I fished with Babe in 1990. I was working in a studio doing sound effects and audio for his show. He invited my partner and I out on Mille Lacs for a day. We caught nothing but perch. laugh smiley

I'd fish with my Dad. But he lives in California. He's 82 now, and I don't know how many more times I'll get to fish with him. We might not catch every fish in the lake, but it's always a good time.

Scotty Petersen the local? He took money from our touney this summer. He took on responsability as the treasurer and head of our summerlong bass tour, didn't like how things were going, quit, and took/stole his entry fee. He isn't looked at as fondly in our tour.
