The problem almost ALL fishing sites/forums/blogs have is that FaceBook, Instagram, SnapChat, etc. has made it extremely easy for any one to post about anything. There was a time when I was getting hundreds of posts per week on here, but it has fallen off drastically over the past several years. There is really nothing I can do about that. I am even guilty of this.
All joking aside even the 2 largest Minnesota fishing forums have taken huge hits over the last few years. They are still plugging along but the content has dropped way off. Those sites where always larger with more content but they were also someones full time job and full of advertising. I know at least one of them the owner seemingly walked away from it.
I still post on a few other sites on occasion but even my use of them has dropped significantly.
Like Webdude said facebook groups have largely taken the place of the web forum. Everyone is already on facebook so its much easier and more convenient to have all of it in one place. Its also easy for anyone to set up a group, no more infrastructure or development needed, a few clicks and you're done.
People who fish for food, and sport be damned, are called pot-fishermen. The more expert ones are called crack pot-fishermen. All other fishermen are called crackpot fishermen. This is confusing. ~ Ed Zern, 1947
