Been gone a while. However, finally finished my double major degrees at UMD.

I do have a question as a recently minted graduate of a Minnesota institute of higher learning.

Why in hades are you north woods, flannel wearing, inbred, ice loving, morally deficient. decrepit, Leinenkugel's controlled, and overly homely hip boot wearing rednecks so inspired to shoot a small defenseless animal?!?!?

I have heard, "If it's brown it's down", enough times this week to make me vomit and fart in the same motion!

Meat is much cheaper to purchase than pay for in the way you attempt to get it. However, most of you spend your families income for beer and hunting fees rather than taking care of your families. A classy bunch indeed! Freakin' losers.

I suspect that what you lack in the "manhood" category you try to make up for in the gun caliber category. A REAL man doesn't need to make up for his deficiencies by shooting a poor helpless creature.

Be a MAN and bypass hunting season this year. Or ... be a pantywaist pansyarse and continue on in your simplistic mindsets.

Catch a clue ... hunting is through!

A loser way of lifestyle that will soon see its setting sun!

By the way ... is it a requirement to wear flannel in the northwoods? I saw a northwoods guy attending a wedding last week ... his own wedding actually ... in a pair of hipboots! To his credit though ... he was the best dressed man at the ceremony!

A couple of thoughts.

1. Deer are delicious, that's the only reason I need.

2. Bypass hunting season? Heck no, that's my time away from a house full of women.

3. Yes flannel is required, I'm actually wearing flannel underwear right now, oh so comfortable.

Oh my is correct! At least these critters have a chance! The meat you're clearly eating is all tainted with hormones, pesticides, herbicides and who knows what! Clearly it's affecting your thinking! A real pantywaist pays someone else to kill their food. And they call themselves a real man! I'm sure those chickens, cows or pigs just standing in a pen had a chance! Wow!!!! What chance do they have! Or maybe your a vegan? My apologies, that explains everything! wink smiley

And as far as our fashion choices go....they are a whole lot better than skinny jeans or baggy pants hanging off your backside so people can look at your flannel boxers hanging out!

When we choose to watch our bobber go around in a circle in a frozen hole or watch Nascar boys only bright enough to turn left we enjoy being comfortable wearing what we like and drinking what we must to enjoy our day! smile smiley

And why would you rip on a fine pair of hip boots? I know that I spent more on mine than any other pair of pants that I own. They are comfortable, warm and make a fine fashion statement for all occasions! Especially one like this when the crap gets real deep, I ain't got no worries!!!

Wow. Take a few days off and lots of guys throwing on the sly remarks my way.

Webdude - Thanks for the welcome. Been a little slow has it? I see that a lot of the posters on here really aren't very bright. That may be the reason. If they look at their family tree and it resembles a telephone pole then ... well you know the drill.

Nofish - You stated, "Bypass hunting season? Heck no, that's my time away from a house full of women." - Hmmm ... that is exactly another reason I wouldn't go. There are always lots of lonely ladies running around town that time of year. You further shared that, " Yes flannel is required". I figured and am not surprised. However, the underwear revelation you enlightened us all to may be a bit TMI.

Domino Dave (I understand your friends call you Double D). Is that a bra size? As far as food choices go you evidently don't remember that I am mostly a vegetarian but not vegan. I don't eat any of the store bought garbage you referenced that is tainted with hormones and pesticides. My family raised our own organic vegetables and had organic fed chickens producing our eggs for protein. On the commercialized food supply we do have a point if agreement it seems. Shocking I know.

Double D further stated, "And as far as our fashion choices go....they are a whole lot better than skinny jeans or baggy pants hanging off your backside so people can look at your flannel boxers hanging out!

Oh my, the erroneous stereotypes abound! I don't weak skinny jeans ... I can't. I have been an avid outdoors person since childhood. I surf, kayak, played football, baseball, and lifted weights since I was in seventh grade! I weigh in at about 185 with a 6% (roughly) body fat content. I CAN'T FIT IN SLINNY JEANS! To much muscle. I do agree with you about keeping your pants pulled up. God knows that with the folks I have seen in any northwoods bar it would be a brain cell destruction to see them running around exposing their back sides! As far as the flannel boxers go ... HA!. I am absolutely Au Natural. (That means I don't wear any underwear for those of you who live at any point north of Brooklyn Park or White Bear Lake).

Double D also shared that, "And why would you rip on a fine pair of hip boots? I know that I spent more on mine than any other pair of pants that I own."

Well .... I have seen your clothing style before ... may I say that I am not surprised that they are the most expensive clothing you own. However, that has more to do with the other things you choose to wear as opposed to the cost of hip boots. Geesh man ... take a look in the mirror occasionally. Where did you get your clothes anyway?!?!? Jed, Jethro, and Granny Clampett have a garage sale?!?! Oh, hip boots serve a purpose and have a place. I wear a pair fishing quiet often and they are excellent when doing farm chores. No doubt. However, I am not sure I would want them as a wardrobe centerpiece but that is clearly a minority opinion here.

Hunting is dying away. The pure demographics of raw numbers bear that fact out. Your days of killing for no other reason than to kill are quickly fading. I know you don't like those facts ... but you are going to have to face them anyway. Your bloodspot will soon be banned and those trying to continue will be arrested and prosecuted ... which is as it should be.

Why don't you try eating a great pizza instead with all pure organic herbs, vegetables, and cheeses? The reality is because you love to kill. It really is that simple. The only reason to hunt is to kill. Without the kill there is no reason to be there. Everything else is a lie you tell to yourself, "it's for food .... family time ... time outdoors ....blah, blah" ... that is all just bull. Those are all easily done without the need to kill. Be honest, you love to kill and will do anything to try to insure you can continue it. However, you are losing the battle ... and it will soon be fully lost and unrecoverable for you. That is a good thing! A very good thing!

I bet you'd love it if we ate all organic and free range all the time.

Actually come to think of it aren't deer totally organic and 100% free range. Who knew I was a hippie all this time?

Oh and you mention my flannel underwear was TMI, I'm going to go out on a limb and say you stating that you are currently going commando is a little more info than any of us wanted to know. We are all desperately trying to block out that mental image, I might have to pour bleach on my brain to get it out.
