I caught an 18 inch Big Mouth Bass, how much did he weigh? Can you go by length to tell the average weight of a fish?

Dont really need a formula for Bass but this one would be close for any species of fish, there are others that work well too.

Girth can be important... you might want to guess on that one if you don't know. Bass can get pretty round :-)

Yeah PierBridge... that's a problem. People get so wrapped up in the forum, they don't know what else this site has to offer.
