Hi all,

I was thinking about buying a Bass Tracker fishing boat. This boat is new and very cheap, which made me think that maybe it is cheaply made and won't last very long. Does anyone know anything about the Tracker company and how long the boats last?

Thanks

My first boat was a tracker.

It was a 17' Bass Tracker Pro V 17. It had just a 50HP merc on it, but that boat ran like a champ from 1988 when it left the factory to when I sold it in 2002 if that helps you at all!

Gentleman, whichever brand of boat you choose, make sure to check the specs. Aluminum thickness, 2nd plate thickness, etc. Check the construction. Aluminum doors or wood, treated floors, aluminum backer plates for seats, rivet sizes, paint job quality, fit and finish, etc. Take in to account the warranties, proximity of the servicing dealer, and most of all, does the boat do what YOU need it to do. Every man that buys a boat uses it a little bit differantly. YOU are the only one that needs to be happy when it is all over. Take your time and have fun with it. Greg
