Zero Degree Ice Tackle here: Heading up north to LOTW on Tuesday. Does anyone have any fishing reports on LOTW?
Has anyone fished Blackduck lake? If you have can anyone give us some pointers on where to go for some panfish?
We are also going to try our new "Patent Pending" Ice Eliminator this weekend. What this does, it removes your ice from your hole......but not through the top, but underneath the ice in 6.2 seconds. (plus or minus 1 to 2 seconds) Its great for stationary houses when the ice is 2 to 3 feet. You guys/gals know what a pain in the butt it can be to remove all that ice.
LAKE OF THE WOODS Many resorts are saying that cloudy water conditions are limiting the walleye action. A few fish are coming from the Pine Island area in 14 to 24 feet on red glow jigs and minnow heads. Better numbers of sauger were caught this week in deeper water. There's still some fish coming from Four Mile Bay during the early morning and evening hours. At the Northwest Angle, gold jigs have produced walleyes in 20 to 25 feet of water on the south side of Oak Island.
Hey Skinny, A few of us Kelliheriets have been fishing south on Black Duck with varing success, evenings for walleyes on the bars right off public access, sunnies you just have to go find them on weed edges, try Grassy Island area. I know of 1-16" crappie coming from sunken island area , I think It was a transplant from Lower Red Lake this spring. LOTW dirty by the river, clearing near Zipple. Thats all I know. Other than I can't Keep those motion sensor tazers in stock. slimy @DR
Even eminent chartered accountants are known, in their capacity as fishermen, blissfully to ignore differences between seven and ten inches, half a pound and two pounds, three fish and a dozen fish. ~ William Sherwood Fox, Silken Lines and Silver Hooks, 1954
