I've been out on a couple of the local lakes (Riley and Minnewashta (sp?)) and have definitely put the auger to use.
So far just small perch but once the ice is a bit better I'll be adventuring all over the lakes. (sorry for such a lacking report with no mfg'r names and pictures)
Even saw ice boats on the lake I was on. Hopefully the impending snow won't hurt new ice formation too much, I can't wait to really start exploring my new home.
We're moving in a few days and we all know what that entails... So I'll put out an early MERRY CHRISTMAS!!!!! TO ALL!!
Be safe on the ice, have a good Christmas, keep your hooks sharp and be thankful for everything you have - there's a bunch of people in a big sandbox across the water making damn sure we get to fish in peace this winter.
I appreciate the report without the "Mfgr's" : ) Thanks
Somebody help me out; What the heck is an iceboat?......... Anybody been out around the South metro? Is it thick enough yet? I havent even driven by any lakes to know if anyone is fishing yet. Sure would be nice to get out this weekend.
Even eminent chartered accountants are known, in their capacity as fishermen, blissfully to ignore differences between seven and ten inches, half a pound and two pounds, three fish and a dozen fish. ~ William Sherwood Fox, Silken Lines and Silver Hooks, 1954
