I was looking over some of the site and noticed that you changed up the picture pages. Looks like database stuff now instead of plain pages. I also noticed that you can now scroll through the pictures for every category. Very cool! I do a little dev work and was wondering how you do something like that.
Thanks for the kudos. I decided to use a database for the pictures because it was getting a little hard to handle. I have an administratuve front end I built where I can just add the photos and info and they appear on the pages. Much easier for me to do this way.
I use a dev tool called Witango to do most of the dev work. I have been using it for around 10 years. It is very quick to get pages up and I love it. It is very expensive though.
Currently the photos are sorted in order that I have recieved them. In the future, I could let the user sort them the way they want, but to tell you the truth, there really isn't much to sort. The guides pages could be sorted by there URL. The pictures are named as "Minnesota-Fishing-Pic1-whatever.gif" so it really does no good to sort by picture. I could also add a search for photos, but once again, what do you search for? A number? Could search for a guide, but that is about all. I would need more info from the people who send me photos but I always wanted just photos, not necessarily info that goes with them.
