Went down to the river last night "Mississippi" to check things out after the recent rain and boy was it flowing plus it was up 4 feet from my last time down. I fished the mouth of a Creek around the Ford Dam up until dark the water clarity was poor so I went with Bright yellow/green Mr. Twister and right at sunset I picked this nice 17" Eye. Thanks Bo for taking the picture.
Had one other bite and decided with high water to try the Creeks back waters it can be real good after dark up there.
I threw on a Mimmic Minnow after about 10 cast I picked a 14" Eye. Sorry about the bad pictures it's tough to take pictures in the dark by your self with a camera that does not take good night pictures while trying to get the fish back in the water quickly.
BobberDown whos own bobber has not gone done in a while called to see what was up and right after he hung up I went to my after hours go to lure a # 9 Rappala in Silver/Shad color first cast I pick this 14" Eye.
And on the very next cast a 18 " Eye this one fought pretty good and got into some brush lucky I was using Power Pro and was able to horse him out, tough to tell in the picture but this was a nice fat Fish that hammered the Rap you can't tell in the picture but he had 2 of trebles inhaled I still got the fish back in the water pretty quick with minimal damage Barb-less hooks helped tremendously.
I lost one more nice one and called it a night. Can't wait to get back down there again I may try some Suckers next time.
People who fish for food, and sport be damned, are called pot-fishermen. The more expert ones are called crack pot-fishermen. All other fishermen are called crackpot fishermen. This is confusing. ~ Ed Zern, 1947
