yes that's right. the first official day of snow in the northland!!
no accumulations around here. just some wet slushy stuff.
it has now moved off to the east between grand rapids and hibbing.
areas like coleraine, bovey, nashwauk, keewatin, and hibbing should be seeing snowflakes now or very soon.
it won't be long now folks!!
if we could just get this pesky deer season over with so i can test out my new blades on the eskimo...

Great news, I hope the snow continues this weekend and heads toward Tower. This means it's that time of year again to take in the docks and put the boat away. Always fun working in the snow. Good luck with you deer shoot. mmmm vennie sticks!

Hi MTNet,

I am with you. This time of year has my heart puming thinking about the upcoming deer season.

We are heading to McGregor, this week end, to pattern some new land and set up stands.

Next week is dock take-out week end. If doesn't have to be that tough. We have a lake project team (a bunch of neighbors) that all help each other take docks out. It usually turns into a big party blush smiley)

Good luck hunting and I hope ScumFrog can still get some Bass time in.

man she's a chilly one today. i, being one to think ahead, want to get the shivers out of the way as soon as possible. so i bit the bullet and went to work in my speedo's today. i rolled down both windows and turned on the air conditioning.
it don't stop there. i swung through the drive through at D.Q. and got me a misty cooler. "super size that please"!
try splaining that one to the cop who pulls me over for running the tail end of a red light.
"but officer", "i am practicing my winter driving skills before the real thing hits". "better to do it under controlled circumstances, than to wait till it's for real and someone gets hurt" i argued.
he bought it. well he didn't give me a ticket anyway.

flurries on and off all day long!!
it won't be long now!
