Last week I dropped the kayak in a Minnesota Metro lake to target some shallow Crappies as they prepare for the Spawn. It took me a little while to find them but once I did, it was one on every pass. The Bass were thick in the shallows as well and I had an unexpected visit from a Toad that put a bend in the Ultralight!

Nice..

Can't say I ever caught a toad before while fishing! LOL

I hit the some areas with ultralight as well. Not bad. Coon lake were all tiny. Some ok ones in peltier in the creek over on the east side. Tons of fish, no chance to go seek nice ones though.

Going on a 5 day roadtrip fishing along the way next week! Can't wait.

Thanks man! It works pretty well for the small to medium sized lakes in the Metro. Goodluck on your Roadtrip!!
