Moderate Northern activity in Whitefish around the sunken islands near the Trout Lake channel, particularly to the west. During morning hours we had success on northern between 10 AM and noon along steep drop-offs trolling with suspended rapalas, usually natural colors, but chartreuse seemed to be the most popular.
Caught some nice Walleye in Cross lake in the early evening, an hour or two before sunset trolling south from the Daggett channel, on the east side of the lake. Also lost two lures to bite offs on either side of the channel towards Rush on the Crosslake side, just before Ye Old Wharf. Lost two jigs with leeches there.
Biggest was a 25 incher/four pound walleye from Cross, and a four pound northern also from Cross. Caught quite a few 3 to 4 pound Northern in Whitefish.
Couldn't scare up anything in Trout, Island, or Rush. 0 for 3 there.
