As the majority of people chased down the Walters at the Governor's Fishing Opener, we took advantage of this early Bass season and targeted the many Smallmouth that swim in Vermilion. The Largemouth were up shallow in spawning mode and the Smallmouth were found staging on rocky shallow flats. This video is of a few of our catches throughout the day. They were crushing the Jerkbait, a few were also caught on a tube, lipless crankbait and blade bait.
