Free time has been in short supply as of late so when I was given the green light to go fishing on Sunday I had to jump at the chance even though it was raining and I'd be fishing alone.
I ended up loading the canoe on the car and heading over to Lake Nokomis. The rain kept everyone else off the lake so I had the lake to myself. The wind was also not bad so it made for an easy paddling day.
Sadly I couldn't get dialed in on the fish. I mostly pulled spinners and crankbaits from 7-12 feet of water. No fish to show for my 2-3 hours of fishing. Couple of guys off the dock where catching a few dink walleyes, from what I saw they were all under 6 inches.
Other than that not much action but it was still nice to get out on the water even if it was pouring rain the entire time.
People who fish for food, and sport be damned, are called pot-fishermen. The more expert ones are called crack pot-fishermen. All other fishermen are called crackpot fishermen. This is confusing. ~ Ed Zern, 1947
