New here, but participate on a few other forums. This looks like a great page. I do most of my metro fishing in the winter, and fish at the seasonal cabin the rest of the year.
Heading out to try Bald Eagle for the first time in years to try to fins some metro walleyes on Sunday. Near Cigar Island still the best bet, or should I explore some of the other spots I see on the GPS. Lots of other promising looking spots, but don't want to waste my time, as I only get out about once a month these days with a young kid and a demanding job...
Welcome to My Fishing Pals. Glad to have you aboard!
I do a bit of fishing out on Bald. Might want to try on the North-East end at the point... a nice drop-off there. I've caught a few there and also smack dab in the middle on the North side. Catching 'eyes can be kind of slim on that lake, though. I used to fish crappy all the time but they have gotten pretty small in the last few years. I think that lake has been over-fished for a while. Those little ones gotta get bigger though, eh?
People who fish for food, and sport be damned, are called pot-fishermen. The more expert ones are called crack pot-fishermen. All other fishermen are called crackpot fishermen. This is confusing. ~ Ed Zern, 1947
