My best friend’s sister lived near Gulfport and Biloxi and they lost every thing when the hurricane hit. I’m asking you as my friends to help them out in any way you can.

Craig’s sister Tami, her husband and 3 boys-Joey 15, Levi 12, Danny 9 fortunately survived the devastating destruction but lost everything they owned. The lived near Gulfport and Biloxi and were able to only travel 25 miles north when the hurricane hit. The traffic was horrendous and people were literally trapped. Tami was on the phone with her mother the morning the hurricane hit to inform her of there whereabouts when the phone went dead. They haven’t spoken since but with the help of internet technology, just recently, Craig was able to make contact with another person who was text messaging a relative in the same city and that relative was able to locate Tami and her family and get word back to Craig that his sister and her family are alive. Their home is demolished…gone, their vehicle is gone, but thankfully they are all together.

Below are the sizes for the family members we are arranging shipments of donated items for. Let me know if you have anything new or slightly used that you would like to contribute and bring to me by September 23rd.

Sizes for family:

Tammy: Women’s size 18 -pants/shorts, XL-sweatpants, Shirts/Sweatshirts-XXL, Shoe Size 8W, Jacket-XL

John: Mens-30-32-pants, Large-Shirts/sweaters, Jacket-XL, and Shoe Size 11

3 boys: Joey 15, Levi 12 & Danny 9

Joey- Mens-36-32- pants, shirts/sweaters-XXL, 12 W Shoes, Jacket-XXL

Levi-16-Pants, L-Sweats, Medium-Shirts/Sweaters, Shoes size 10, Jacket L

Danny-14 pants, M-sweats, Large-Shirts/Sweaters, Shoe Size 8, Jacket L

Other items: Soap, Toothpaste, Toothbrushes, Deodorants are all welcomed.

Thank you all so much for your kind and generous support.

E-mail me with any questions or donations.

Folks -- after spending five years in Pensacola -- I can tell ya - three hurricanes later -- just how bad it can be. Was in Bayou La Batre, Alabama even before the electric came back on.

There are still a lot of people hurting and in need. So if someone knows of a family -- fishing pals are everywhere -- this would be a good place to let others know and who knows the contacts one may make.

It was an amazing thing to see shrimp boats 25 yards or more on dry ground !! Anybody remember the movie -- Forest Gump -- saw two of the ships in that movie totally on dry ground !!

If people concentrated on the really important stuff in life, there'd be a shortage of fishing rods.
