Does anyone know of any of these old herter's minnow buckets that might be available new or used? I bought some back in late 60's and they are about worn out. Best darn buckets ever made! Any info appreciated!!
I'm assuming that you are referring to the one near Mille Lacs. This lake is open to fishing. You can go to the MN DNR website and access the lake information using Lakefinder. It is part of the Mille Lacs watershed, so I believe you can't fish the river or creek that connects the 2 during the spring. They have a public access. I fished this lake a couple times more than 25 years ago with a friend who had a cabin on it. It was fun as I remember it, but have no specifics. Good Luck.
I had an old one and is damaged now. I did search for herter's minnow buckets online to purchase but it is not available in the market, I guess. It seems like that that company stop producing those buckets and we have to search for some other brand.
People who fish for food, and sport be damned, are called pot-fishermen. The more expert ones are called crack pot-fishermen. All other fishermen are called crackpot fishermen. This is confusing. ~ Ed Zern, 1947
