Can anyone help me with some advice on where to go next May/June. I'm planning a trip up with a buddy for some smallmouth and northern fishing with some walleye thrown in. You've got so many lakes to choose from it's hard to begin. Thanks.

you'll get so much info from now until your trip your head will be swimming smile smiley This is the perfect place to find that information.

Even a BAD day of fishing is better than a good day of work; paydays excluded!

If you want Smallmouth and Northerns you are going to want to head north of Duluth or hit the rivers.

I would suggest anywhere around the Boundary Waters area or Voyagers National Park. You could always just do a trip in the BWCA, canoeing and camping and fishing makes for a great trip but can be alot of work.

I would look toward Voyagers if I were you, great fishing, and alot of options for places to stay. You can even rent a house boat up there.

Think about Lake Vermilion. I love the lake it has good fishing with with great resorts of all price ranges. It's right next door to the BWCA without all the B.S. Rainy lake and Lake of the Woods are also good places to fish. Me, I like the upper Whitefish, but then I'm a bass fisherman. When I am done fishing I want to go out for a meal and have someone fix it for me. Let us know where you picked. I bet most of us have fished it and might be able to give you a tip or two.
