I just moved to the area this summer, and have been trying to explore local fishing opportunities.
The weather this week is supposed to be beautiful, and seeing how it might not get any better this year I thought I'd better get out there fishing.
My girlfriend is at work during the day so there isn't time for us to fish together except on the weekends.
I have a 14ft aluminum rowboat and attach either a ten horse outboard or an electric trolling motor. It has room for 3 but is much better with only two people.
My favorite fishing locations so far are lake Calhoun and Minnetonka, but I'm open to suggestions.
Anyone have some time to fish with me this Thursday or Friday? I'm open to fishing anytime during the day/morning. If you want to use your boat or my boat I don't care, I just love to fish! As a note, on launches that aren't deep enough (such as lake Calhoun) I like to put the boat in by hand so if we're using my boat you have to be at least as strong as my girlfriend so you can help me lift the boat and put it in.
People who fish for food, and sport be damned, are called pot-fishermen. The more expert ones are called crack pot-fishermen. All other fishermen are called crackpot fishermen. This is confusing. ~ Ed Zern, 1947
