What a great bite going on Big Winnie, cool nights and hot days are doing it. Best bite is from Eelpout west through the big bend and south. Fish on top close to the break until mid day then stay on the 18' to 19' break. Roach rig out to 5' with a red bead and tip with a leech or a crawler. Bottom bouncers with Northland silver/blue haulicgraphic spinners and tipped with a crawler is working VERY good. Sugar bar at the 18' to 19' drop and fishing with the same rigs is also giving up a lot of Walleye. A lot of limits and a lot of Walleye being put back both big and small from the main bars.
People who fish for food, and sport be damned, are called pot-fishermen. The more expert ones are called crack pot-fishermen. All other fishermen are called crackpot fishermen. This is confusing. ~ Ed Zern, 1947
