It costs so much for us to hunt in North Dakota and they can fish here cheap. Up at our cabin its all North Dakota people and they arent charged anything extra.

You have to cut them some slack. Most North Dakota people come across the Red River becuase they just heard about this new invention we have in Minnesota that allows you to use the bathroom without having to go outside. I think they are calling it indoor plumbing.

You almost have to feel sorry for them. Let them have a few fish. What do they charge North Dakota folk for a MN fishing License, I thought it would be the same out of state charge everyone else would have to pay?

North Dakota residents pay the same as all Non residents to fish in Minnesota $34.

Hope this helps.

its our own fault in mn - anyone can come here to fish and hunt for cheap. thats why when you go up north to ely or grand marais all you see is illinois plates. i go to canada to get away from the tourists in my own state. i bet on some forum in canada some guys are saying the same thing about minnesotans right now.

Here is what it cost for a non res to fish in Wisconsin. $50.00 a year or $24 for a 4 day. I am willing to pay it because I fish Bass tournaments both here and in Wi.
The price for fishing is a good buy, when you think about what you get for the price. You get to fish. It is a better buy than a marrage license.
Anyway we make up for it in the winter, with our fish shelter price. Most other states don't charge anything, but Minnesota does.

Wisconsin now has a non-resident shelter tag requirement it's $34.

I can understand North and South Dakota charging a little more for bird hunting and rightfully so they put more money into it and it shows in the quality of the hunting.

Plus they know we will pay it.
