Believe it or not, most tadpoles and frogs hibernate in the winter. Frogs will start laying eggs in spring typically April and May and they will hatch a couple of weeks after that. Might be a bit early this year, though
Make sure to check DNR regulations. Tadpoles are considered minnows and they are regulated like everything else in the country.
