Lets list off the lakes that that the ice is off people. I was driving by Clear Lake off 35 in Forest Lake today and the ice is out! I'm hoping to be eating a spring crappie dinner by this weekend!
When listing the lakes please give the county or town it's by please....
Oh yeah. S. Metro is ice free as well. I stopped by a pond near the house over the weekend. I can't believe I have to wait over 2 months to fish it for bass.
Ha! I don't always drive 55, but I stay off the water until it's time. I'm just a bass angler. One look at my gear will confirm it in 5 seconds. No way around it.
You mean south of FL? Or north of White Bear? Either way, Forest Lake went out on sunday as well, so all the lakes in this area should be out. I do not know about Goose or Rush yet, I'm sure that the Chisago area will be clear as well, they had less ice than FL this year.
Rush still has some ice on it but its going fast! Not sure what last nights rain did to it. I did get a few reports of some boats roaming around rush yesterday.
The ice is off the Lake Superior except for a few chunks at Ashland. St Louise river is 80% ice free. There is still ice in back bays and the marina slip I hope to launch the Hooker Too into before April 1st. Captain Dave Dahl.
