Yep that is correct, since the New Year had began a new season of trout had opened up, so with this in mind we have been targeting the lakers on LOTW on the Canadian side. we have had some great results and not long we had our daily posessions. each time up the weather had been fairly decent, actually awesome but really doesn't matter when the fish cooperate. The biggest so far was 18lbs a few in the 35LX15G range and one at the 39" marker, using Pro-Cure Trophy Trout super gel will make the fish not only come up, but commit and that is exactly what they did. we had been targeting the depths of 70' believe it or not we even got into some nice, really nice Northerns in these deep basins amazing. our next trip will be in a week, maybe this time we will be chasing the Crappies as well. walleye's PFFT over rated, Kidding hey SandBurr yep the wife lets me finish cleaning the lakers on the counter..
You have to love that! The smell rates just below a Tullie! Do you have pack of guys you travel up there with to fish Lakers? or do you use a resort or guide? This type of trip has been on my radar for a few years and I am struggling to get others interested and find resorces to make it happen. Can you go into a little more detail on how you get it done?
Even eminent chartered accountants are known, in their capacity as fishermen, blissfully to ignore differences between seven and ten inches, half a pound and two pounds, three fish and a dozen fish. ~ William Sherwood Fox, Silken Lines and Silver Hooks, 1954
