I was out on Cedar a couple of days ago and the crappies were biting pretty good, though there wasn't much size to them, largest being a ten incher. We did manage to keep a limit, though it took a lot of fishing to get them. We started hopping around drilling trying to find them and found a bunch suspended at various depths. We pretty much used jigs and minnows. Most of what we caught were about four feet down. Ice seemed okay, there were a bunch of people walking it. You might want to try Prior too... I heard the sunnies are really biting over there.
We went to cedar and had fun with the kids. the ice varied from 5-8 inches where we fished. The best part was the young ones could watch the crappies bite 6inches to 12 inches under the ice. They had a great time.

Three-fourths of the Earth's surface is water, and one-fourth is land. It is quite clear that the good Lord intended us to spend triple the amount of time fishing as taking care of the lawn. ~ Chuck Clark
