Finally got up to Winnie. It is definitely getting cooler up there. Fishing was pretty good on some of the rocks. Used mostly leeches and crawlers on Lindy Rigs. Fished mostly the south side in 15 to 20 feet along the shore and some of the bigger bars. Mixed bag of fish they got going. Even caught some nice sized crappies.
Even eminent chartered accountants are known, in their capacity as fishermen, blissfully to ignore differences between seven and ten inches, half a pound and two pounds, three fish and a dozen fish. ~ William Sherwood Fox, Silken Lines and Silver Hooks, 1954
