Got out from shore a few times this week. The best I landed was a 4.2 LM on a drop shot rig. Actually, it was a Secret Weapon Lures Recoil Rig. If you're a fan of drop shotting but aren't familiar with the Recoil Rig, I suggest you check it out. It takes a while to get used to the "SpecTastic" cord, but once you do, it's a lot easier to keep your weight on the bottom. And the action you impart on your bait (NetBait finesse worm in Bluberry Candy for me) is seriously crazy. Seriously crazy.

Excellent... hopefully I'll have something to report at the end of the weekend!

Well I did happen to get out last weekend. Spent all day Saturday on the water. Caught some very nice sunnies, about 28 in all, along with some walleye and perch. Just out having a good time and released them all. The body of water I was on was pretty small, can get to it from our lake, and I was suprised to see about 20 to 25 other boats out there fishing. They changed the limit on sunnies up here to 4,but I think the reason for that is because everything you catch is the size of dinner plates smile smiley A lot of people crappie fishing.

"All day". That would be nice! So good to get out though, huh?

(I also added a couple pics to that other thread.)

Believe it or not, I am going up north again this weekend. Might be a little wet, but I am going to give it a try. Imagine that... getting to go fishing for two weekends in the past 3 weeks! Yippee Skippee smile smiley

Okay... so it wasn't a great weekend. I ended up catching a total of 6 fish... 1 walleye, 1 crappie and 4 northerns. And the walleye was just a bit larger then the minnow I was using. We tried everything but the weather was so screwed up, and though we graphed a bunch, we just couldn't get them to bite. Oh well... helped Tap Tap Tap get the launch and dock out. If I go up again, I'll have to pull my boat and beach it. Friday night was really bizarre... very windy and the temp in the 80's. By Saturday morning, a front came in and it was dead calm. At least the weather was nice.

Yeah, the weather has been wacky this last week. My little spot completely shut down - and I don't think the lake was turning.

I did snag a nice one on a swim jig when I got out a little before work yesterday.
