Happy Bear season everyone. It's that time of the year when the bears begin to put the feed bag on. And I'm happy to help the process along. I will be hunting the noquota zone this year. And since we have had a lot of rain, I would expect this season to be tough again this year, with all of the natural forage available to the bears. But we pulled it off last year, so we will see.

Some really nice tracks in a driveway, not far from home. This boy would be a nice one to bring home! Before anyone asks, yes that's an adult womans foot, around 10" long!

Posts like that SB, is why we've been missing you so much!!!!! The baits that I have out haven't even had a wiff yet. The acorns are falling now, and I'm sure that ain't helpin either. Patience kills more bears than anything else! Are you having any "problems" up in your neck of the woods?

Due to the recent graduation and send off to college for the oldest my "Bear" days are gone this year. BUT.... I have my ear to the train tracks and I have heard the same except "Blackberries". Seems as though the rains and wind knocked alot of blueberies down. They will be there...theres just not that many acorns in the woods!

Baiting has started out slow. Pretty much as I expected. But it appears that things are starting to pick up. Nothing huge yet, but a tasty looking one anyway!

The drags won't be an issue. Private lands with 4 wheeler trails are much goodlier down here.

We had another station become active. The trail cam has 119 pics of a bear spending a lot of time there. Things are starting tom look up! More pics to come.

You can also feel it in the air. When you hit the low spots on the road on the way home its cool to the touch.

Activity is starting to pick up even more. We now have 2 different bears on this bait. Both worthy. Although this one seems much wider.
