Happy Bear season everyone. It's that time of the year when the bears begin to put the feed bag on. And I'm happy to help the process along. I will be hunting the noquota zone this year. And since we have had a lot of rain, I would expect this season to be tough again this year, with all of the natural forage available to the bears. But we pulled it off last year, so we will see.
Posts like that SB, is why we've been missing you so much!!!!! The baits that I have out haven't even had a wiff yet. The acorns are falling now, and I'm sure that ain't helpin either. Patience kills more bears than anything else! Are you having any "problems" up in your neck of the woods?
Due to the recent graduation and send off to college for the oldest my "Bear" days are gone this year. BUT.... I have my ear to the train tracks and I have heard the same except "Blackberries". Seems as though the rains and wind knocked alot of blueberies down. They will be there...theres just not that many acorns in the woods!
If you've got short, stubby fingers and wear reading glasses, any relaxation you would normally derive from fly fishing is completely eliminated when you try to tie on a fly. ~ Jack Ohman, Fear of Fly Fishing, 1988
