Hey CrappieMagnet,

Glad to see you're still around. Don't be a stranger, okay? Been doing any fishing lately?

Hi Bill...Try Upper Red for crappies.Lots to be had...especially in the winter months.Upper Red is'nt too good of a open water lake due too the extremely shallow water.Average depth is 14 feet.So try there in the winter months. For slab bluegill....Try Fish Lake in Mora.Work the shallows in the open water seasons.Try in front of the public access.Look to any weeds you see.Throw mister twisters in yellow and white colors.Pound plus gills are caught here.Mora is 1 hour north of the Twin Cities.Upper Red is about 5 hours north of the Twin Cities.

Good Luck when you go.

I agree. Fish lake up by Mora is a great lake for nice blue gills. You can catch some great slabs right out front of the boat access. I been having good luck with waxies on small fluflus and a slip bobber. Very pretty fish.
