Hey Gageboxer. I know it's not kosher to recommend a product you haven't used but, since no one else has posted up yet, I'm going to suggest you check out the Fenwick Elite Tech Walleye series.

I use Fenwick for bass fishing and think they're fantastic rods. The Walleye series has the new TAC handles with rods for jigging, rigging, bottom-bouncing and other Walleye specific techniques. Check out the reviews online (I didn't see a bad one out there).

Happy shopping!

In that price range, your best bet, in my opinion, would be a Fenwick HMG or EliteTech. I have both (although I use them mostly for bass) and could not be happier, plus they have lifetime warranties, where if you break your rod, you get a new one right off the shelf at any Fenwick Pro Shop (which is pretty much any place that sells them). At the upper end of your listed price range is the GL2 from G. Loomis. I have Loomis that was about $250 for walleye fishing, and a GL2 for muskies, but they make the GL2 in many different sizes, and that would be an amazing rod for you.
