Canadian Fishing Lodges and Outcamps are very expensive to stay with.

Here's a much cheaper alternative

If you're interested in fishing at pristine Private lake,North of 56
give me a call, we have room for 6 guys, boats & motors available, but bring your own food a beverage. The camp is located 70 airmiles North of Thompson. At our camp there's no Guides, or Strangers around.
The camp is accessible only by Floatplane or Helicopter.
Come with your own Seaplane or charter with "Wings over Kississing" located at Thompson Seaplane Base, or let us quote you!

I used to fish the northern Lac Seul area south of Red Lake in northern Ontario. How far is the cabin from Baudette and International Falls? When you say "private lake," does that mean your cabin is the only one on the lake? How hard is it to get to and what's the launching site like?

And how good is the lake?

Hey Odin,

Our Loghome is located 70 miles North of Thompson Manitoba at Kiask Lake.
By regulations we are only two Private cabins allowed on the lake, one is on the West side and we are on the East side. Lake is 7 miles long and 2 miles wide with numerous points and islands
It is a Clearwater lake in places over 100ft deep with Northern Pike,Lake Trout, and Whitefish.Never been commercially fished, we only fish for food: Lakers & Whitefish, never Pikes ( You can't eat ugly fish) In the fall we can catch & release over 50 Lakers in an afternoon.

Distance: Baudette to Winnipeg 150 miles
Winnipeg to Thompson 450 miles

Please note: There is daily flights from Winnipeg via Calm Air.

I can email you pic's & description of the camp ( A must see!)

Yes you can rent the main cabin as well!

For those of you that don't like flying but likes fishing, here's another suggestion:
Our residence is a Lakefront House at Setting Lake,60 miles South of Thompson. We are flying up to camp is soon as the ice goes, and won't be back until freeze up. If anybody is interested we can rent out our home for $1500/ month (May to September)

Setting lake is approx 45 miles long and 3 miles wide and has alot of Walleye, Northern pike, and Sauger.
