I've lived in Minnesota for 20 yrs now and this is the first year I've heard of Fishapalooza.Myself and a couple co-workers are going to give it a go. I was wondering if anyone knows the general location that they hold the contest. From the pictures I've seen it doesn't look like it's too far off shore. Is it near the public access? I would like to fish it a week or two before the contest to get a feel for the area. Can anyone help me out. Thanks, Scooter
It's right out in the main lake. Impossible to miss as there are 10,000 people. It's absolutely huge and super fun! If you get off 35 at forest lake and drive towards the lake you'll see that everyone is parked out on the streets.
Last year it was like 200,000 dollars in prizes and way better set up than the White Bear contest.
Although I have heard nothing about the fishapalooza yet and usually by now I have seen or heard a lot? I was wondering if it was even happening.
