I will be going to High Banks Resort on Lake Winni the last weekend of Jan and was wondering if anyone had any info or tips? Color, size, bait. Like to be prepared and wouldn't mind buying a few new jigs.

Okay then. I found my own info through a friend of a friend of a friends friend. Okay so maybe it wasn't that many people.

Eyes- Chartruse has been good. Northland's live forage minnow in perch or perch glow is what I heard is best.

There was only one eye for us on this trip. The perch were biting if you stayed mobile, which we didn't do much of. Lot of people catching white fish. Lake conditions are not the best. High Banks doesn't want any holes drilled 100' from any road or house. I don't blame them, we seen a couple flooded spots.
The bite sucked but the trip was great!!

Myself,RickG.,and our families fished out of Highbanks resort.

We stayed in "The Loft" at Highbanks which was very cozy and lots of room to spare.

Day 1)Upon our arrival we enjoyed a "Highbanks Bloody Mary",
then the 4 of us boarded the snobear with "SnoBear Dave" traveling thru deep snow and slush to an undisclosed location.
Immediately we started to slam the Jumbo perch and kept 3 walleyes, 1 northern and a tullibee on our 4 hour trip.

Day 2) Again the 4 of us fished out of the "Ultimate Lodge"
and caught 34 tullibees and a couple of perch, then RickG. his wife and son arrived driving thru freezing drizzle.

Day 3) Today the 7 of us again fished out of the ultimate lodge catching 40 tullibees and a couple of perch.

On day 4 we spent 1/2 a day in the ultimate lodge again we were on the tullibees with 12 kept. We shared some tullibees with snobear dave.

I will be busy smoking the tullibees and sharing the wealth.

All in all Highbanks Resort is top notch!! cool smiley

We will be back for many seasons to come. smile smiley

Thank You to Kim,Rick,Snobear Dave and all the crew!
