got out a little later probably around 7pm on Friday. we just pulled out and set up quick on the shallower side of the group. the fish would move under us but they were biting finicky as heck. smallest bait possible with a little piece of meat caught us a couple decent sized crappies and one nice sunfish. Missed several as well.
We moved to the deeper area at about 10:00 and stayed there with similar results until about midnight when we left. It was starting to snow at that time so we figured it would be best to pack up. Woke up to 3 ft snow drifts on surrounding the truck! Those fish were lock jawed but if you worked em just right you could trick em.
I'm gonna go give it a shot tonight for a bit and see what happens. Probably Peltier,
If you've got short, stubby fingers and wear reading glasses, any relaxation you would normally derive from fly fishing is completely eliminated when you try to tie on a fly. ~ Jack Ohman, Fear of Fly Fishing, 1988
