My buddy and I are talking about taking an ice fishing trip sometime in the first half of January. We've talked about LOW, Devils Lake, Winnie and a few other spots. I'm wondering if anyone can offer some suggestions of places to check out.
We are looking for probably a 2 night deal, arrive Friday and stay Fri, Sat. night and then leave sunday. We are open to sleeper houses or lodge type accomodations the more important issue is cost and catching fish.
I don't have a very big budget so thats a major consideration. I'm sort of leaning toward LOW becuase I've never been there, is there any reasonably priced resorts that do sleeper houses up there that you would trust to put you on fish?
Any other places I might not be thinking about? We are open to any place with fish.
they will all put you on fish up there but i would go with sportsmens just because i know the people good and i know how good of job they do .but for cost wise if money is tight bring a port.and stay in baudette cause they get about 80 some dollars a night per person to rent a sleeper but if you need more info let me know i can help ya out good luck
