Lots of bluegills and bucketmouths in that lake. Pannies can be fun, but most anything I ever caught were small... I mean under 6 inches. This time of year, I would fish the weedlines off into deeper water. You never know what you are going to catch on this lake, but the bluegills may drive you crazy. There is also some pretty good pike, though this time of year I would tend to try deeper for those and use larger live bait or spoons to keep the small stuff off your line.
One thing to keep in mind is that this is a Metro lake and like most Metro lakes, there are some contaminents in the fish. I think you are only allowed one meal a week for anything you catch.
Even eminent chartered accountants are known, in their capacity as fishermen, blissfully to ignore differences between seven and ten inches, half a pound and two pounds, three fish and a dozen fish. ~ William Sherwood Fox, Silken Lines and Silver Hooks, 1954
